Life from Our Land: The Search for a Simpler Life in a Complex World

The question behind every project  EWTN Journey Home host  Marcus Grodi undertakesis : “Will this help someone grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ?” Life from Our Land, Marcus’ reflections on what he learned about life and the best way to be living it, was penned  when the Grodi family moved to a farm and country life in rural Ohio. Two overriding principles emerged  from this experience, he tells Doug on EWTN Bookmark: simplicity and detachment.   Life from Our Land is not, Marcus says, “an apologetic for leaving the city for a self-sustaining, off-the-grid, nonelectric, rural life of farming.” Rather, it is a grateful, humble acknowledgment that God speaks and works through  His magnificent creation.
